CRL TPM Series Metal Bond Diamond Drills use a special 3/8" (10 mm) diamond and brass bond for maximum performance in glass. Metal Bond Drills offer the greatest life, with an expectancy of 1000 to 2000 holes in 1/4" (6 mm) glass with proper maintenance. These multi-layer drills run cooler than any other drill on the market.

CRL TPE Series Electro-Formed Diamond Drills are thin-walled, with a 1/2" (12.7 mm) deep layer of diamonds and bonding matrix designed for high speed, high production drilling. These drills are fragile, and are intended for the drilling of flat (plate) glass ONLY, in a true running production-type drilling machine. These drills offer superior results when exacting conditions are met.

Sharpening or "dressing" of these drills periodically will substantially increase their cutting capabilities and minimize "glazing" or dulling of the bit. A Dressing Stone is a recommended necessity when working with an Electro-Formed or Metal Bond Diamond Drill.

IMPORTANT NOTES: These Drills are designed for use in a true running production-type drilling machine. NEVER use in any type of hand drill. The use of these Drills in any manner other than as specified above may damage them and will void any warranty.

Always wear the proper safety gear, including gloves and eye protection, when drilling glass. Work should be performed on a flat, horizontal surface. A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt Device (Cat. No. GF1) must be used when using any type of electric tool in conjunction with water or coolant. Failure to follow any of these precautions can result in operator injury.
