    Basic Uses
CRL 800 Acrylic Latex with Silicone is a pure acrylic latex sealant featuring easy tooling and water clean up. A special blend of silicone and acrylic latex that provides superior primerless adhesion to building materials such as wood, brick, glass, plastic, vinyl, plaster, drywall, metal, and ceramics. The silicone gives it flexibility; the acrylic promotes long life expectancy. Together they form an excellent sealant that can be used around window and door frames, for siding and trim work, caulking tubs and sink tops, thresholds and baseboards. It may be used to grout marble and ceramic tile, repair mortar joints, and, under controlled conditions, to bed insulating glass units and storm windows.

CRL 800 can be used for interior or exterior applications since it is odor free and offers superior weatherability. Capable of ±10% joint movement in a well-designed joint. Can be applied at outdoor temperatures as low as 40°F to 120°F (4° to 49°C), and withstands extreme temperatures after full cure from 0°F to 180°F (-17° to 82°C). CRL 800 can be used in areas with high moisture, such as showers, bathrooms, sinks and kitchens, since it is mold and mildew resistant, and is paintable with oil or latex-based paint. CRL 800 can be tooled for approximately 30 minutes, and can be painted over after two hours with oil or latex-based paints.

    Limitations
The sealant must be protected from water for 24 hours after application; do not caulk on the exterior when rain is imminent. For insulating glass units and storm windows, the windows must be properly weeped or entrapped water could cause reversion. Sealant must be given additional time to fully cure before windows are installed because of the closed-in conditions. Protect from freezing before fully cured. Check cartridge label and Specification Data Sheet for additional limitations.
