  • Reduce Costly Mistakes in Manufacturing

  • Identify Low-E Coating in the Field Quickly

  • Use as a Sales Tool to Promote Low-E

  • The CRL AE3600 Glass Detector senses the presence (or absence) and location of thermally resistant coatings used on single strength and double strength energy efficient glass. The AE3600 will detect any type of Low-E coating, whether it is hard coat (pyrolytic) or soft coat (sputter). This meter is factory calibrated and requires no field adjustments. To operate the meter, simply press the flat bottom surface of the meter against the glass, and press the power button. One of the three indicators will instantly identify the presence and location of any Low-E coatings on the piece of glass you are testing. The AE3600 is totally portable and is powered by a 9V alkaline battery (included).
